Town of Deadwood in the Black Hills of South Dakota
In the western part of the Black Hills of South Dakota lies a town called Deadwood. HBO recently created a series called Deadwood about life in the former camp. Today Deadwood features casino after casino each with a unique personality. This is the town of Deadwood during Sturgis bike week. I had an excellent time playing Caribbean poker at the Silverado Casino. Another casino called the Celebrity casino caught my eye as it had various pieces of memorabilia from famous stars. Old Deadwood in Deadwood South Dakota
In back of main street Deadwood South Dakota stands a replica of how the town of Deadwood looked back when it was a mining camp. After watching the HBO Deadwood series It was fun to be able to pick out the names of the buildings such as the Gem Saloon. One of the buildings actually functions as an information center for the tourists visiting Deadwood. Check out the pictures of Old Deadwood below.
